pagani-c9-2011-southern-europe-testing-03-400pxIt's been a busy couple of weeks for Pagani. The Zonda replacement, the C9, was spotted on the German autobahns again last week, and more recently in Southern Europe doing some high altitude testing. There are already a few pictures and videos of the C9 floating around, but in most of them it appears to be clad in a mash up of old zonda bodyparts. These latest photos, though heavily camouflaged, reveal more of what will likely form the production C9, most notably the gullwing doors and air brakes.

As with the Zonda, the C9 is packing a Mercedes powerplant, a 515kW (700hp) version of the 6.0l twin turbo V12 from the SL65 AMG. Horacio Pagani has likened the C9 to a Bugatti Veyron with better performance.

It's not due for production 'till late 2011, but rumour has it there'll be an official unveiling at the Geneva Motorshow next March.
