Saab Aero-X ConceptSpyker, the new owners of the Saab brand have confirmed rumours that they're negotiating the supply of engines from BMW. Although they're refusing to talk specifics, a move like this could only be good for Saab. Sales for the first half of this year only just topped 10,000, resulting in a net loss of almost 140 million Euros.

Spyker is aiming to boost sales back up to a profitable level starting with it's all new 9-3 model, set to launch in 2012. Designed by Jason Castriota (the man responsible the Ferrari P4/5 concept and the Maserati Gran Turismo) with inspiration apparently taken from the Aero-X concept (pictured), and powered by a BMW engine, it ought to have no trouble selling.
